My
story about Baltimore is about what other people think about Baltimore. Many
people that live outside of Baltimore either think that Baltimore is a boring
place or a bad place.
I
personally don’t think that we are boring or a bad place. I feel like people
think that it is a bad place from what was seen on television like The Wire.
I lived in Baltimore all my life I never found it boring. This story I am about
to tell is about an experience I have had in the past year.
I
have a friend that always found Baltimore boring. He is from New York but moved
to three different states. Baltimore was going to be his last state that he
moved to before going back to New York. I would always try to explain to him
that Baltimore is not all that boring, you just hasn’t seen everything yet. I
would take him to the Inner Harbor because I always thought that the Inner
Harbor was fun, but he still thinks that Baltimore is boring. The Inner Harbor
has really cool restaurants, the aquarium, and sight-seeing. The other places
that I thought were always fun were the festivals like the Afram and the
Artscape. I would always like the music, the entertainment, especially the
food. Also there is paintball and rock climbing at the Fun Zone, I always found
that was a fun experience. He really hasn’t been outside of Baltimore and
really experienced the rest of Maryland like I have; for example the National
Harbor which is in DC like an hour away. There is very fun stuff to do there
and stores to see that I would think he would like. Also a light show from the
waterfall inside a hotel, fireworks showing at the end of the night. I always
thought that that could be fun. Till this day I am still trying to convince him
that Baltimore isn’t boring so he would leave Baltimore knowing that he had a
fun experience before he moves back to New York.
