Hard to Adapt

I moved to Baltimore three months ago. At the beginning it was very hard for me to adapt, because I came from a big city (NYC) where driving wasn’t necessary. It was hard to adapt in Baltimore because you have to drive everywhere, people’s slangs are different, and they sound different, and clubs, lounges and other activities shut down very early. As for New York City I would walk around at any time, find a store open at any time, ride the train at any time. I didn’t have to worry about having a car to go places.  The biggest issue in a big city is parking, traffic and tickets.

I attend to Community College of Baltimore County—that’s one of my favorite places here. The way they teach it’s so different than New York. The cafĂ© it’s nice and clean, the food they serve its made on the spot, etc. That’s the only place that I like here. But I can’t really say much about Baltimore because I haven’t experienced much of it because of the short period of time here. But in reality I’m not interested. Baltimore to me is very expensive and there’s nothing that can make it enjoyable. Many individuals try to change my mind about the way I feel about it, but there’s nothing that can change that.
